LOGLINE:
An American Paleontologist and her Egyptian Desert Guide are lost in the Sahara searching for fossils of petrified whales.
CONCEPT:
While on a scientific desert expedition, Bonnie, an American Paleontologist and Amr her Arab guide, encounter GPS problems due to US air strikes on a nearby country. They are lost for days. Will they survive their common cultural and personal misconceptions about each other, or will they turn into fossils like the ones they are hunting? Desert Story is a cross-cultural tale set against the metaphoric backdrop of petrified whales in a timely script.
